Note: This is my best shot at trying to sound impressive even though it doesn’t include my greatest accomplishments: Anna, Grace, Jonathan, Hope, and Sergio. And behind all of my accomplishments is my wife, Clarinda, who loves, supports and encourages me in all things. — Jeff

Jeffery James is the principal and founder of Spire2 Communications, Inc. He has over 30 years of experience creating strategic design communications for companies and non-profit organizations.

Jeff has worked in many different fields, including associations, healthcare, higher education, manufacturing, and technology. Over the course of his career he has worked with clients including: Ameritech, BellSouth, Cingular Wireless, Concordia University Chicago, Global Ministries — The United Methodist Church, Motorola, University of Illinois, and Wheaton College.

Translating corporate objectives into a strong brand experiences

Jeff excels at understanding clients’ corporate objectives, translating them into brand positioning, and executing marketing materials that exceed expectations. In the last 15 years, he has focused on integrated marketing strategy (utilizing a variety of marketing channels to bring efficiencies and drive results). Most often, integrated strategy includes: branding, digital marketing (including email and website development), direct mail, donor development, and lead generation systems.

Prior to founding Spire2 Communications, Inc., Jeff was a principal and creative director of StrategyOne for over seven years. Jeff led the creative team, provided account management, and spearheaded business development. Before this, he was a senior designer for a technology marketing firm for three years and began his career working for a corporate design firm in Chicago, Illinois serving financial, real estate, and health care clients.

Jeff graduated with honors, and a BFA in Graphic Design from Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida, and he also studied at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois.
